Trading
  • What is a financial asset?
A financial asset, or security, is any type of resource which holds an economic value. As a result, an asset is usually owned or controlled by a country, corporation or an individual, with the expectation that the asset will provide a benefit in the future. When trading CFDs (Contracts for differences), you are trading based on the value of an underlying asset. These assets fall into asset classes and include stocks, forex (currency pairs), indices, cryptocurrencies and commodities. Profit or loss is made based on the future value of the asset.
  • What is pairs trading?
Pairs trading, which is also referred to as statistical arbitrage, is an effective trading strategy that is often executed when there is uncertainty as to the direction that the financial markets will move. In this strategy, a trader will take both a long and short position on two closely correlated assets. Profit can then be derived from the difference in price between the assets and not the direction that their price is moving.
  • What is the Risk-O-Meter feature?
Financial trading requires one to manage their risk effectively. The Risk-O-Meter is a unique feature that enables a trader to select and to control the level of risk while trading online. This feature enables traders to match the level of trading risk to their risk appetite.
